Professional Athlete. Philanthropist, Entrepreneur

Brian Jordan is a man of many talents. Sports enthusiasts are well aware of his athletic skills, as he has been an All-Star player with the Atlanta Braves and an All-Pro selection with the Atlanta Falcons. Being a two-sport professional athlete is an uncommon occurrence in professional sports. Accomplishments in sports aside, there is positive reciprocity between the city of Atlanta and Brian Jordan; yet, the Baltimore, Maryland native has contributed more to Atlanta than just home runs and bone-jarring tackles.

Currently, Jordan is a principle partner with real estate developer Stephen Macauley. Together they are creating Le Jardin, which has been heralded by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as the city’s first billion-dollar development. Home construction on the South Fulton property is scheduled for late 2006. Prior to this real estate venture, Jordan also created Century Lofts, one of the first luxury loft communities in the Peachtree Bottom area of Southwest Atlanta.

Since childhood, Brian Jordan realized that success meant giving back to his community. His mother, a schoolteacher, and his father, a steelworker embedded this moral value in him. As Jordan has walked the path of success, he has created vehicles to make success possible for others.

In 1998, he founded the Brian Jordan Foundation, which believes that in every child there is the potential for excellence. The vision of the non-profit organization is to provide practical information, tools and a nurturing environment to children, youth and their families. The foundation’s educational program awards scholarships to underprivileged, yet deserving young adults. Through a four core program system which includes advocacy, education, health and wellness as well as research, the Brian Jordan Foundation is successfully improving the quality of life for many.

Jordan has also begun displaying his considerable talent as a writer. His children’s book entitled, I Told You I Can Play, is scheduled for debut in Fall 2005. Jordan’s portion of the proceeds will go to the Brian Jordan Foundation.

These are just a few of Jordan’s accolades. He is a member of 100 Black Men of Atlanta, serves on the Henry W. Grady Foundation Board, the Morehouse School of Medicine Board, Camp Twin Lakes and most importantly, he has privately funded college scholarships for several students and young athletes. Yet, if you ask Jordan, his best attribute is being a family man. He is married to his college sweetheart, Pam, formerly Pam Bryant (who was an All-American basketball standout at The University of Richmond). The couple has four children: two sons Bryson and Kaleb, and two daughters, Briana and Kenley. Jordan is a professional athlete who makes positive plays on a regular basis, but it is on the field of life where he is hitting home runs for children who aspire to their own personal greatness.
